Hi sandrafromsequim. An apk is an application package for Android. It cannot be installed on iOS. The only safe way to install an app is from the app store. Unlike Android, there is no way to bypass this.

The only supported method of installing apps is Apple’s App Store. Anything you download and install from the web involves a hack of one kind or another. Doing so also opens your device to the potential of simultaneously installing malicious code or malware.

Hi sandrafromsequim. I can see it in the US app store, and it only requires iOS 6, so that should be no problem.

Do you have any restrictions that might prevent this? Settings > General > Restrictions.

You probably do need to be on WiFi to download it.

What happens when you try to download it?

Sadly, the one in Apps Store is different: it is spelled "hue Drops" and is not the same!

Not in Apps Store. (Apps store has "hue Drops" which is a different game.) Will try to find developer. When I search on Google with my question, there's an option that says if I download APK, I can access this game. I've done the download, it goes to a Zip file. I open Zip Viewer, can open the folder, but from there nothing seems to open or work. (I admit I often fail at opening Zip files in the past.) Thanks!

Thanks. Really good to know. Not sure it will help but will delete suspicious file from my Zip File. Will still try to reach the developer but sounds as though I'm stuck. Too bad since I really hooked in the game! Guess I'll just have to travel more!
