How to add missed workout to Apple Watch

My Apple Watch is not registering my exercise at the gym. I understand now that I need to use the workout app to capture that information. However I would like to know if there is any way to manually enter the workouts that the watch did not capture so that I can have accurate record of my exercise this week.

Thanks, Jennifer

Hi Jennifer

To receive credit for all Activity app rings, your Apple Watch must be worn during any given workout.

Third-party apps

Some third-party apps offer the ability to receive Move goal credit (but not Exercise credit, due to programming / API limitations) on your Apple Watch for workouts that are undertaken whilst it is not being worn. For example:

Fitmanual - Complete the Move Ring every day on the App Store

Other such apps may be available in the App Store.

Add data manually

Workouts can also be added manually to the Health app on your iPhone, which aggregates all health and activity data from your Apple Watch, iPhone and any other sources:

To add a workout, go to: Health Data (tab) > Activity > tap on Workouts > tap on the "+" sign (upper-right) > enter your workout data.
