Finder / Commander One File Management

Hello all,

I have a small question, concerning access to my Synology NAS.

I have played around alittle and tried different file managers, like Forklift and Commander One.

So to my question, in finder, i have an icon to my NAS, when i access it, i can see all the shares thats on my NAS.

Like

Movies

Music

Documents and so on.......

And this is how i like, for me, this is perfect. I dont need to have a shared folder/disk directly in Finder, i rather prefer to be able to choose Nas, and then choose where to go from there.

When i do the same, in Forklift or Commander one, the program wants to force me to create a shortcut directly to one of the shares.

Am i doing something wrong?

I just have a small feeling that i am misunderstanding the MAC filesystem, but since it seems to work in Finder, it should work everywhere?

Best regards

Fredrik
