42mm Pure Platinum/White Nike Sport Band Coloured By Clothing!

I've bought the 42mm Pure Platinum / White Nike Sport Band and when i wear colourful clothes (red or green hoodies) the colour is transferred to the band. The result is nasty and in most cases the band can't be cleaned.

I've send to the premium reseller here in Greece (iStorm) and the answer is that Apple don't support problems like this because its considered as a physical damage. The "physical damage" fits more to a product that has been used for more than 2 months, and not for such a short time, however you can't consider the color transfer as a "physical damage".

I explained to them that the problem is not the dirt but the color transfer from the clothes, i haven't notice that the clothes are clothes from Nike, The North Face, G Star Raw etc.

So you can't wear your favourite colourful clothes because there is a possibility to paint you band with undesirable color. Its important to say that i've bought an original band from Apple and i didn't buy anything else. The price here in Greece for the silicon bands is 65 Euro, its a significant amount for a small silicon product.

I wanted to buy more light color bands (like white band which i liked it a lot but now??? no way).

A serious product has to be considered as a product that is value for money,

when i buy a grey band i buy it because of the color. You don't buy a grey product in order to

be tranformed. Im so disappointed and the biggest disappointment is from the answer from the

manufacturer.

SO BE AWARE OF YOUR LIGHT COLOR BAND!

IT MAY CHANGE ACCORDING TO THE CLOTHES THAT YOU WEAR.

Maybe this a specification that be promoted.

WEAR YOUR FAVORITE WATCH BAND AND THEN ITS COLOR

CHANGES WITH MAGIC.

Hi

Apple advises that it can be normal for band colours to vary or fade over time.

Apple's instructions for caring for and cleaning your Apple Watch band are provided here:

For marks that cannot be removed by following Apple's instructions, some users have variously reported success when using dish soap, eucalyptus oil or Mr Clean Magic Eraser.

However, keep in mind that using anything other than a soft cloth that has been lightly dampened with fresh water is at your own risk.

Jonathan thanks for the response but as i said,

Apple's advices refers to simple cleaning from dirt.

When a brand new product changes so simply and after

10-20 times that i put it on my hand then its considered

as a low quality product. Think that the main factor of "dirt" is the color of your

clothes and not regular and daily dirt. The Apple Watch was not my first

and even the last watch that i've been owned (i got so many and much more expensive than

this one) so when you buy Apple products you're waiting more, as it happens

to rest of the product range.

So i will try the dish soap and we'll see.
