Missing part of my text message

Have noticed lately that some of messages are not going through completely as I text it. It will send only part of my message but not the whole message as typed. Has anyone recently noticed this problem?

iPhone 6s Plus, iOS 11.2.1

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities. From your post, I understand that when you're sending messages, not all of what you type is being sent. I'd be happy to help!

Based on what you've described, I would recommend the following steps. Try them in order, testing after each:

Force close the Messages app: How to force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support then restart your iPhone: Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support.
Make sure your iPhone is up to date with the latest iOS software (currently iOS 11.2.2): Update the iOS on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support.
Back up your iPhone (How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support), then reinstall the iOS software using the "Put your device in recovery and set it up again" section of If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support. Even though the title of the article doesn't match your issue, it's the reinstallation bit we're concerned with--and those steps are always the same.
