I have tried to download my home movies from my Panasonic NV-GS180 camera to my iMacOS High Sierra 10.13.2,iMac 21.5in mid 2011, but unable to put into iMovies or iTunes. I have done this many times in the past, but cannot now?

I did not see your camcorder in Apple's list of supported cameras.
iMovie supported cameras - Apple Support
Possibly that is the cause of the problem.
As operating systems and iMovie versions change, sometimes cameras that were supported before are no longer supported.
Try downloading your movies into the Photos app rather than directly into iMovie. That is the recommended way. You can then access your photos from iMovie by clicking on the Photos app item in the iMovie screen side bar.
Or, download to your desktop using the Image Capture app on your Mac, and then from there you can drag the vids into iMovie.
