How do I sum a column of numbers for a given month?

One way is to add a month column and use SUMIF() like this:

The formula in B2 of Table 2, filled down, is: =SUMIF(Table 1::C,A2,Table 1::B)

The formula in C2 of Table 1, filled down, is: =MONTH(A2)

You could do something like this, with SUMIFS()

=SUMIFS(Table 1::$B,Table 1::$C,$A2,Table 1::$D,B$1)

The formula in the Year column is simply =YEAR(A2) , filled down.
