Can iPhone SE transmit AAC over bluetooth (assuming the headphones support AAC as well of course)?
Would any source of music (e.g. Spotify) be transcoded into AAC and transmitted using AAC over bluetooth or only music originally encoded as AAC (e.g. Apple music)?
These are what supported in iOS

Goodmorning ebalmor, I've just talked to a friend of mine who owns a SE and he was telling me that he uses Spotify without any problem via BT (Sennheiser headphones). But he didn't give me any other technical explanation, so I'm not able to offer you an appropriate answer to your question. I'm just a user link yourself.
I'll try to investigate more deeply and let you know any further reliable info as soon as possible.

Thanks Giulio, but I believe that refers to regular playback, not as a bluetooth codec. I can't find any documentation about bluetooth codecs anywhere.
