iPhone Auto-Locks while charging; it didn't do this previously
Before I installed the latest update, 11.2.2, my iPhone 6 would stay awake indefinitely if it was plugged in and charging, no matter which app I had open and on screen.
I had my Auto-Lock set to 1 minute, so that when my iPhone *wasn't* plugged in and charging, it would lock and thereby save power.
This was nice for when I was at work, sitting at my desk, and listening to music. I would leave my iPhone plugged in, and I could glance over and see what track was playing without having to reach over and wake my phone up and unlock it for more options (like finding a new playlist, or radio station, etc).
But now it seems to honor that 1 minute Auto-Lock despite being plugged in and charging, causing me to have to constantly reach over and wake up/unlock my phone.
I'd rather not change the Auto-Lock setting from 1 minute because I want it to lock after 1 minute while *not* plugged in and charging.
I noticed that it doesn't lock when certain apps are on screen - like Waze, for instance, which is great since it would be very dangerous to have to continually reach over and unlock the phone while driving.
However, I'd really like to be able to go back to how it was before the 11.2.2 update, and have my phone stay awake while plugged in, and Auto-Lock after 1 minute when not plugged in.
I've searched for a way to accomplish this, but I've yet to find an answer. I see that a few other people have asked pretty much this same question, and they've gotten no real answer. I'm surprised that more people aren't asking about this issue.
I guess I just have to wait for the development team at Apple to address the issue in some future update, huh?
