iMessage covering texts
My iMessage app is partially covering texts while in app if my font size is smaller? If I make the font size larger then this problem goes away.

I understand that you are having some issues with the message bubbles partially covering up the text contained within those bubbles. This issue goes away if you make the text larger. What I'd like to have you do is to force close the Messages app and then restart the iPhone:

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Once the iPhone powers back on to the Home screen, please test out the Messages app, using the normal size text that you use. See if it looks like it should. If you still have issues, please create a backup of your iPhone:

Then go ahead and reinstall iOS. Please note that the article was created for a different issue, but the steps are still the same to reinstall iOS:
If you can‘t update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Once you have completed the reinstall, test out the Messages app again and report back the results. If you still happen to be having issues, please let me know if this happens with every contact, or if it goes away if you create a new message thread/conversation.
