New for 2018, though the message is old. I cannot mount my laptop from my desktop, which is really important for me since my laptop is my main disk archive, but my desktop supports my typing etc. most ergonomically. This has often been ropey in the past (e.g. for long files), but not completely impossible. I prefer using afp since it seems to be the thing Apple briefly abandoned while it was signed up to PRISM. If I connect by "go-> connect to server" it says "There are no shares available or you are not allowed access them, contact your sysadmin [me]" If I go in from the network connection on the file browser, it lets me type in my login and password but then doesn't show me my file directory.

Everything is up to date with the latest OS patches.

MacBook Air, macOS Sierra (10.12.3), null
