Every time my brother calls me it goes straight to voicemail. I have att.

He’s not blocked. My carrier settings are up to date. I have restarted my phone. Please help! It’s just my brother that it’s doing it to!

Brian, I usually agree with you, but my partner and I have shared the same Apple ID forever and we each get calls and texts separately. I call him, his phone rings and he answers. He calls me, my phone rings and I answer. I don't get his texts or Facetime calls. He doesn't get mine.

I understand many don't believe in sharing an Apple ID, but it's not always wrong to do so and for us, it works quite nicely.

Hello Jennie,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!

I understand from your post that one of your contacts goes straight to voicemail even though they are not blocked. One step I recommend is to delete the contact and then add it back again. If the issue persists, check to see if any contacts are linked to the one contact that is going to voicemail.

Manage contacts - iPhone User Guide

Delete a contact. Go to the contact’s card, then tap Edit. Scroll down, then tap Delete Contact.

To see if a contact is linked to another contact:

1. Open the contact, then tap Edit in the upper right corner.
2. Scroll down to the bottom of the page.
3. If any contacts are linked it will show up under Linked Contacts.

Tap each contact that is linked to the main contact and make sure none of them show as blocked.

Best Regards.
