Unable to connect Ultimate Ears Blast bluetooth speakers to Mac computers
I can not get the new bluetooth speaker from Ultimate Ears, the UE Blast, to work with Mac computers. I have 3 Mac computers. One Macbook Pro (13 inch, late 2016), one iMac and one MacBook Air. All have the macOS High Sierra 10.13.2.
After I pair the UE Blast, it appears as paired in the bluetooth devices window (System Preferences). When I choose the UE Blast, it connects for 20-30 seconds and then the bluetooth connection fails.
The speaker almost never never appears in the sound preferences list. And when it does, you are not able to choose it because the bluetooth connections fails. The speaker connects OK with all other kind of devices iOS, Android, PCs.
I manage to maintain the connection once, while using the Audio Midi Utility and the sound was excellent, but when I closed that app, the speaker disappeared again from the sound preferences. I have already tried the available proposed solutions (remove the device and pair again, reset the plist of devices, safe mode, NVRAM reset...) with no success.
Still waiting for an answer from UE... hope to get a solution here
