default camera exposure settings

Is there a way to change the default settings for the camera. It consistently underexposes images in low light, and to have to sit there and adjust the settings every time, or correct the image later is pain staking an annoying.

Is there a way to control the settings?

Thanks

This seems like a question for the camera manufacturer rather than Aperture. The problem is one of the photographer and not necessarily the device.

Most cameras have an 'exposure compensation' adjustment which can be used to correct the exposure in camera rather than doing it post capture of the image.

So...,

Look in the camera manual for tips about adjusting the exposure.

What camera do you use? Perhaps someone here can help.
