How to export locations from a Garmin GPS to iPhone?

I found a way to do this, but it is less than optimal:

(1) Using USB cable, extract file GPX/Current.gpx

(2) Create a map in "Your Places | Maps" in Google Maps. Upload the mentioned file.

(3) Use the Google Maps app for the iPhone to navigate to the desired location.

This has two shortcomings.

- It is not synchronized dynamically. I have to keep on repeating the steps above, removing the existent map and uploading a new GPX file.

- The only way to navigate is by finger-zooming into a very crowded map, until the desired location is found and then press on "Directions | Start"

TIA
