How to Air Drop from Mac to iPad?

I've Air Dropped from my iPhone (and iPad) to my MacBook Pro, but is it possible to "Air Drop" from my MacBook Pro to my iPad? I don't see a way to do that.

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015), OS X El Capitan (10.11.1)

Yes, its possible.

Your iOS devices should appear in the AirDrop folder in Finder. You can then just drag and drop the files onto the device there to AirDrop to it.

To airdrop from a mac to an iPad follow this guide: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT203106. Make sure airdrop is turned on in and go to the finder window. Then open the airdrop tab and make sure it is enabled at the bottom. Then make sure airdrop is on (on your iPad). Then you can share files. To share a specific file click the share button from the menu or the file button with an arrow. From there you can select airdrop and share it there.
