I am not longer receiving Ask to Buy notifications on MacBook Air

Previously I was able to receive an "Ask to Buy" notification from my kids on all of my Apple devices simultaneously (i.e. the "Ask to Buy" notification would be received on my iPhone, iPad, iMac and MacBook Air). I could approve or disapprove the request from whichever device I happened to be using the time. I have purchased a new MacBook Air, and used TimeMachine and Migration Assistant to migrate my Applications, Files, documents, settings, etc., from the old MBA to the new MacBook Air. I de-authorized the old computer in iTunes, signed out of iTunes and iCloud on the new computer, and restarted the old MacBook Air (just to be sure...). On the NEW MBA, I have signed into iTunes and iCloud using my one and only Apple account, and I have authorized the new MacBook Air in iTunes. However, when one of my kids clicks on "Ask to Buy" in the App store on their iOS device, the request does NOT show up as a notification on my new MacBook Air. It continues to show up on my iPhone, iMac, and iPad. All devices are running the current iOS, and current MacOS (high sierra, as of this question posting).

The new MacBook Air is receiving iMessages (and sending iMessages) without a problem.

Hoping to find some assistance to troubleshoot and fix why my new MacBook Air is not receiving notifications from my kids for "Ask to Buy." Thanks in advance!

MacBook Air, macOS High Sierra (10.13.2)
