Family sharing and factory reset

Recently, I discovered someone who I don't know, unauthorized, added me to their family sharing. I've been having trouble being able to get in touch with Apple (time issues and being busy and all), so if all else fails I was thinking about doing a factory reset. Since this is new phone, it isn't like it would take much to get what I have on my phone back.

Before I do that, I just want to be sure doing a factory reset to bring my phone back to the day I got it would also remove me from the family sharing plan? I'm not all that accustomed or knowledgeable when it comes to the family sharing on iPhones.

Oh, I know exactly what you mean. This is a scam. If you look in your purchase history, you may see where this person or people has/have used your account to get refunds on fraudulent iTunes cards, for example.

Check settings - name - iTunes and App store- tap your Apple ID in blue print - Select view Apple ID- purchase history - it will show there.

Your acct has been compromised. Definitely stay on top of it with a senior advisor.

All the best ~

It seems I slightly misread the message that pops up on my phone--I'm not actually in the person's family sharing, instead it says email is already used in this person's (the name comes up as a few Chinese letters) shared purchases in his family. I probably will end up having to call back as soon as I can, but I was just hoping things could be done more on my end to hurry the process up aside from that.

I’ve had more than this- I was logged out of my old ID to change a new one- on the iPhone 6 I have now sold. Apparently someone we know (cops rang me) and told me you can pay people to reupload personal info from an old iCloud say if you on-sold your other older one. Of course this person did so- Now I had multiple apple IDS AND non disaoorared afrer maseer reset to zero- lost everything and then was told to log on using my New id and all that happened was zero and couldn’t regain my apps or my any data- now I’m stuffed in an iPhone 7 brand new phone with the same issue. Really how did I know to disable location services prior to doing the iCloud name change? It’s gotten so severe my hardware constantly crashes. I’ve had my pc sandboxed from backing up to iTunes. Let’s pray I get it fixed in Apple store Wednesday.
