sim card into nano slot

I would prefer to talk to your carrier, explaining you problem, and asking for a spare nano SIM (very often they give you one for free).

Cutting the one you have is always dangerous, and could damage your iphone Sim card holder.

The nano card is not only smaller, it is slightly thinner. While many people have successfully trimmed their cards, some have not been so successful. Best advice is visit your carrier and get the proper sim.

To use a nano sim in my iPhone I had to contact my mobile phone company and request a new SIM card (nano sim size) to replace my existing SIM card (micro sim size).

If this is a multi simcard & has little perforations then you can just push centre out with your thumb turn turn in to a nano card look closely before you do this.
