AirDrop not working in El Capitan

Hi All,

I have a Mac Mini running El Capitan but I have never really been able to get to the Airdrop to function from any iphone I've owned. I'm currently using an Iphone 7 and would love to get this issue sorted.

The problem I have is I'm running a wireless bluetooth set up and I understand from other forums that I may need to disable the bluetooth to get this to function.

Can this issue be resolved without turning off the bluetooth?
