How do I delete a slideshow in Photos / My Projects?
MacBook Air (13-inch Mid 2011), macOS High Sierra (10.13.2), Photos
right click on it in the sidebar and select delete

This gave me the clue I needed. On my Macbook Air it is Control/Click - I don't have left and right buttons. Thank you for the clue.
Control click is a right click
