Use of Remote Clicker with Photos App

I am doing a photo presentation next month and wanted to use the Photo's app on my MacBook as this is where all my photos are stored. However I also want to be able to use a remote to be able to click through the photos during my presentation. Our photo club does have a remote but I want to know will I be able to use this with the Photos app but if not what would be my alternatives? Many thanks

Creating photo presentations is just one of the many ways you can utilize our new-and-improved Photos app in macOS High Sierra, so let me show you how that works. As for your question about compatibility of the remote with your slideshow, that's something that I can't answer with any certainty, as it really depends on who manufactures the remote and what technology it's built with. If the remote works with other apps on your MacBook, or if others in your group have been able to manage presentations with it, then chances are it should work for your presentation as well. Ultimately, if you want a more specific answer, you'll want to contact the manufacturer of the remote itself.

Hi Brenden,

Had a read through the article on creating a slideshow and think that's probably the easiest way for me to present this so thanks.

However, don't mean to sound thick, but how do I go about selecting the photos to go in the presentation as the link didn't seem to explain how. I have all the photos from my trip in one photo album and will be looking to use around 70 photos from it in the presentation. I was simply going to just scroll through the album and pick suitable photos so just need to know how to get those into the presentation? Thanks

Many thanks for your response.

I was just going to create a new album to put the photos for my presentation in but I will check out the link you suggested.

With regards to the remote, I will speak to people at our club to see if anyone with a Mac has done a presentation using at and take it from there.
