podcasts not syncing to apple tv

Not all my podcasts will sync to Apple TV podcasts app. Made sure Apple TV was up to date, have podcasts set up to automatically sync, and still nothing. Only half of mine will appear in Listen Now. The rest won’t even display in Library. If I search for them, it shows that I’m not even subscribed. Help?

Apple's Podcasts app is a joke, nothing syncs properly. It never has worked properly and knowing them, it never will.

Here's what I have:

- 6 podcasts subscribed to in the Podcasts app

- Podcasts set up and set to sync on my Mac, iPhone, ipad, & AppleTV

Here's what happens:

- I listen primarily on my phone. New shows show up & they get deleted after I listen

- If I'm in the middle of a show when I get home, I look at my Mac, iPad, or Apple TV and that ONE show is properly synced.

- The other shows are all different on other devices. Some have shows I deleted two weeks ago, some have the last 5 shows, some don't have the latest shows.

- Just the other day I was listening to a show, finished the episode, got home, opened my Macbook, went to podcasts & it had the last 94 episodes! Shows I listened to 2 years ago suddenly showed up for no reason.

It's maddening! Apple's entire podcast system is entirely FUBAR. It's never worked as it should and I really can't deal with it anymore. I'm currently looking for another app that will work across all my devices. If I find something, I'll let you know.
