My iPhone 7 keeps freezing randomly??

My iPhone 7 had been working fine for the little over a year that I've had it and suddenly, starting yesterday, it started freezing randomly and not responding to anything I do. It takes about a minute to sometimes 5 minutes to catch up with itself and unfreeze. The freezing happens mainly with the Music app and some other random apps I have. I don't even have the newest update yet, why is this happening??
