If your iPad issue isn’t covered (water damage is not covered), you’ll pay an out-of-warranty fee unless your iPad has AppleCare+ coverage. AppleCare+ includes two incidents of accidental damage. You might be able to use one of those incidents for a cracked screen or for other damage to your iPad. Each AppleCare+ incident has a service fee, as shown.

Kind of pricey of course. My iPad Mini 4 128 GB cost $299.

For the OP, there's probably not much that can be done now once it's submerged. If it's older it's probably not worth it.

Really, your only option is to purchase an new iPad.

If your iPad is out of AppleCare warranty, the replacement cost to replace that exact model of iPad is 60% of its original price new.

You’re better off using that amount toward a new or newer more up to date iPad model.

If you purchase a new iPad, get a waterproof Otterbox case for it to protect from any other future major water drops.
