It is a normal prompt, unless youâve modified your iOS (jailbreak). If you were infected, which rarely happens unless you hit a really bad site. All hacking, phishing, and infections happen inside your browser window, they are self contained. For example they would not be inside your iOS desktop or inside an apple approved app or game. If you were infected the infection would sit in your browser cache and is easily cleaned out as soon as you empty your cache. If you are using Safari you would go to Settings and then Safari and it is referred to as âclear history and website dataâ;
Typically this prompt happens if you havenât finished your setup, such as setup of a passcode on your screen or setup of your payment. You would be able to tell though by going into setting and then above the Airplane mode there would be a red dot and it would have an extra box saying finish setting up. If not you might try going through you passcode settings by going to Setting then to âTouch ID & Passcodeâ.
The Last safe Resort, if youâre like me youâve been through several iOS upgrades. Sometimes settings from old iOS donât get settled in the dirt right with inside the new iOS. You can easily resolve this by resetting all the settings and just go back in the settings area and setup your preferences. Youâd be surprised how many issues get resolved with this.
This is done by going into Settings then General then onto Reset. Now this is the *Important part clicking âreset settingsâ will only reset your settings, no data is lost from your device, other options will remove your data. After clicking reset settings the device restarts and then you will need your Wi-Fi password handy unless you are on a data plan. Then just go into your settings area and start checking through from top to bottom that all your settting are set where you want to them.
Hope this gives you some insight and answers, sorry about the grammar I am just now drinking my morning coffee and just getting my own gears running... đ
