Apple TV keeps shutting off and restarting randomly

My Apple TV (I think it's 3rd generation) keeps shutting down and restarting randomly. It does it both while watching something and while paused. Initially, it had started only doing it when I paused a show and left it for awhile (more than five minutes or so), but now has started completely resetting when watching something. It doesn't matter which app I'm on, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video or one of the network apps, it resets on all of them. No idea what is happening or why! Help! It's incredibly irritating!!
