Pages 6.3.1

With High Sierra I was forced to update from Pages '09 to 6.3.1. I have tried, but absolutely HATE the new Pages. It is extremely controlling and won't let me do a lot of what I could with "09. The things they did keep (example: Paste and Match Style or convert a Table to Text) is irritatingly more difficult. Does anyone know if Apple has plans to address all of the complaints? How about publishing a '09 version for those of us who are so frustrated that they are ready to hunt for something else to use!

Also - why isn't my operating system listed in the selections? 10.13.2

MacBook Air (13-inch, Early 2014), OS X El Capitan (10.11.3)

The installation of Pages v6.3.1 was not mandatory, and does not remove Pages '09 from your Mac. With Pages v6.3.1 installed, it is the default application that launches when you double-click a Pages document in the Finder. Purposeful launches of Pages '09 are done via the right/control-click of the document icon, and choosing the Open With : Pages (4.n) menu item. You cannot open Pages v6.3.1 documents in Pages '09 without first exporting them to Pages 09.

If you open a Pages '09 document in Pages v6.3.1, and attempt any change, you will be prompted to convert the document to Pages v6.3.1 format. When this occurs, the document is no longer a Pages '09 document, and any of the features exclusive to Pages '09 are removed or mangled.
