still radiation while in sleep mode?

Hello!

I have two questions:

- Does an iPad still search for networks/wifi while it is in sleep mode? There is still radiation, right?

- How can I look up when my iPad was switched off or switched on (user's history)?

Thank you so much!

(I ask these questions because I'm pregnant and we would like to reduce radiation while asleep.)

Kind regards.

In sleep mode the iPad is mostly receiving, not transmitting. It does transmit handshaking messages occasionally, though. It transmits only enough power to reach the cell tower or WiFi router, so the closer to the cell tower or WiFi router, the less power transmitted from the iPad.

In any case the radiation is weak and non-ionizing, so won't affect you or your baby. Also the body is mostly salt water which will further reduce radiation reaching inside.

The last couple of weeks, we turned off the wifi in our home.

So on the screen of the iPad, you could see 'no connection'.

Does that mean there was less radiation coming from the iPad? Or did it, in adverse, send out more radiation because it had to keep on searching constantly for other wifi routers?

Do you perhaps know how we can check when the iPad was turned on/turned off?
