Hi

It may help to turn Water Lock on and off again in order to expel any water from inside the speaker:

Use the Control Center on your Apple Watch - Apple Support

Apple Watch Series 3 models are sufficiently water resistant that they can be used, for example, when shallow water swimming.

However, in respect of showering (and bathing), note that Apple specifically advises against:

  • Exposing your Apple Watch to soap or soapy water - such as when showering or bathing.
  • Exposing your Apple Watch to high velocity water.
  • Exposing your Apple Watch to dramatic differences in temperature and/or humidity.
  • Wearing Apple Watch in the sauna or steam room.

More information and detailed handling instructions are provided by Apple here:

Follow the instructions here under the heading "What should I do if my Apple Watch gets wet?":

About Apple Watch water resistance - Apple Support

If water remains in the speaker on your Apple Watch after engaging and then turning off Water Lock, then it may help to repeat the process by manually enabling and turning off Water Lock at least once more:

Use the Control Center on your Apple Watch - Apple Support

If the speaker remains muffled after following Apple's instructions for drying your Apple Watch and after multiple uses of Water Lock, then I suggest that you contact Apple Support (remote diagnostics and/or mail-in service may be available, if required), make a Genius Bar reservation or visit an Apple Authorised Service Provider for advice and assistance:
