I have a MacBook Pro 15 inch 256 GB model and I tried to download macOS Sierra update through safari. The download finished, then this box looking thing came (called macOSupd10.12.6). I opened it showed the introduction, readme, license but then I saw the destination select and it said that 218.5 GB isn't enough! Is it just me or it is for everyone . if it is just me then can someone help me.

Sierra is downloaded from the App Store, not through Safari. However, you will have to download High Sierra for your model: How to download macOS High Sierra.
