iPhone X cant hang up calls every now and then.

Been having issues through all updates with ending a call. The screen doesnt light up and it is not responsive to touch or buttons. It lights up when the call is ended (by the other party). Please advise / help. Thanks!

Hello SirDanne,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It's my understanding that your intermittently unable to end calls on your iPhone X. I'm happy to help.

First, if you have a screen protector or case on your iPhone then it could be blocking the proximity sensor, thus causing this issue. Try removing those and test to see if the issue persists.

If the issue persists, then I recommend reinstalling the iPhone X iOS using iTunes, as this step can help resolve possible software issues. When reinstalling iOS, iTunes will completely remove your current software and install a fresh version. While iTunes will try to do this without removing data, it's a good idea to make sure you have a recent backup before trying this step.
