How do I get the phone number to show up on my iPhone X?
I appreciate the phones attempt to tell me who is calling, but I always want to see the actual phone number. It's a big screen... plenty of room.

If the person is in your contacts list, you will see the person's name instead of the telephone number.
If you wish to see the telephone number, remove the person (or their telephone number) from your contacts.
“Fraud call” ... wow, I’m impressed!
I assume nobody would identify their telephone number using that name, so it sounds like your cellular carrier is supplying this name, thinking they’re helping you.
You might consider asking them about it, and/or tell us the name of your cellular carrier.
If I (who never met or telephoned you before) were to call you on your iPhone, I find it hard to believe you would see any identifying information about me - other than the telephone number I phoned you from.
Are you certain you would see identifying information from someone who never contacted you previously?
It does it for everyone all the time, especially people who are not in my contacts. That is the problem.

Phone rang... Display literally said... "Fraud Call"
There is no contact in my list named "Fraud Call"
I had to into the Call log to find the phone number.
It's Verizon and I'm sure they think they are helping. 😁
I use AT&T. They do not offer such a service to my knowledge.
I have Verizon in NJ and I've never seen that. I wish that I would!
I contacted apple . Despite software update nothing changed. And they are stubborn not to replace the device. They want customers to suffer despite paying 1000$ plus .
Time to shift to apple
This was the case for me too. I just got a new phone (iPhone X) and new carrier (Verizon). Turns out this very problem is the result of Verizon.
When Verizon suspects it’s fraud they have it display as such. Luckily this is a trial period for me.
I want to see phone numbers as well and immediately opted out of this free trial!
