Why does the brightness of my iPhone X always goes dim automatically after I leave it for a few minutes?

You're right but, before auto-lock, brightness dims for a few seconds and many people are asking why they are not able to adjust it....

Coming to your problem, did you solve it with auto-brightness on, or is your issue still there?

The one in Accessibility>Display Accomodations is the auto-brightness

The one in Settings>Display&Brightness can be used to adjust the brightness (not auto).

Have you set auto-brightness on? Settings>General>Accessibility>Display accomodations.

Check also the time here: Settings>Display & Brightness>Auto Lock...

I’m having the same problem. Auto lock is not for the brightness function it’s for locking the phone if the phone is unused for a specific time.

All iPhones will dim a few seconds before locking as a warning that it's about to lock. If you tap anywhere on the screen it should undim.

Auto brightness was off in the display setting but when I went Accessibility < Display Accommodations the auto brightness was in the on position. Why are there 2 auto brightness settings?
