iphone is disabled try again in 1 minute

As I understand, after 5 or 6 times, each time you enter the passcode incorrectly, the disable time increases.

How can I reset the disabling, because at some point, the wait time will make the phone unusable. thanks, Lee

Yes, and it worked fine. But what caused the disabling, and how can I stop it from becoming disabled????
