The left shift key is not working on my MacBook. Laptop is only 2 months old and has not been dropped or had any damage. It still goes up and down, just does not work to type with. I have restarted the computer. Any other suggestions? TIA

Connect an external keyboard and test. If that works then there is hardware problem with the keyboard. Bring/send it in to Apple for repair.

Purchase one, they are not expensive.
I had this problem on my imac. It turn out that the acessiabity. Preference would mole the mouse slider all the way to fast and then it wouldn’t let the mouse work
