Suspicious Email

I received an email from 'Apple' with a purchase that was not made and links to sign into Apple etc. Looks rather suspicious however if it is illegitimate how did they get my credit card details ? Something Apple not telling anybody ?

The link goes to https://buy.itunes.apple.com/… Meaning, it is a domain owned by Apple.

Open iTunes and login to your account by clicking on the Store tab, then the Account link at the right. It may take a few seconds to load the next page. When it does, scroll down to Purchase History and click the See All link at the right.

If you see this item in the list, then someone really did purchase this subscription on your account. Check with your family members to see who did.

If you don't know who did, and no one you know says they used your Apple account to make such a purchase, go into your Apple ID and change the password immediately.

If this purchase is not in iTunes, then the email is fake.
