Selecting fax number from address book

I'm trying to fax using my hp all-in-one printer. When I pick the fax device, on the Fax Recipient tab there is an "Open Address Book" option. I drag the address book entry I want to the Recipient list, but it doesn't select the Fax number in the address card, it selects whatever the top number shown is, so for a card with "Home", "Home Fax", and "Mobil" numbers listed (in that order), it selects the Home entry. There is no way to select a number within a card with the dialog that displays.

Is this a problem with Tiger, the HP driver, or am I simply expecting too much from my mac? Short of going through every Address Book entry and making the Fax number the top phone number on the card, is there a fix to this problem?
