iPhone 7 Battery Case Wear Failure

Apple accessories - including the Apple iPhone Smart Battery Case - are covered under Apple's Limited Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, but not against accidental damage or misuse.

If you believe that the case was defective, then contact Apple Support (mail-based service / replacement may be available, if required), make a Genius Bar reservation or visit an Apple Authorised Service Provider with a view to having it inspected and, if eligible, replaced under warranty:

This is somewhat of a gray area. Cosmetic damage or physical wear is something that Apple often won't consider grounds for repair or replacement, as I've been told that directly when I was seeing if I could get an accessory replaced under warranty. The issue with something like a case is that you've probably placed it in your pocket and it has physically rubbed against other objects.

You can try to bring it in, but there's a good chance it won't be replaced.
