How can I get my iPhone X to show up when I’m logged into iTunes?

My iPhone X isn’t appearing in my iTunes when my phone is connected to my laptop. I’ve never had any issues before; today is the first time I’m having trouble. Also, I updated iTunes and my phone both today.
