search box has disappeared at top of inbox. How can I get it back?

Thanks for stopping by the Apple Support Communities. From your post, I'm understanding that you are missing the Search box that typically appears at the top of the Mail app on your iPhone. I'm happy to help!

If you don't see the Search option, first make sure you are in a Mailbox. The Search bar does not appear on the Mailboxes screen. Once you're in a Mailbox (for example, your Inbox), scroll to the very top of the page. You should see "< Mailboxes" in the very top left, and "Inbox" (per our example) in big, bold letters right below that. And then, below the mailbox name, should be the Search bar. If you do not see the Search bar after going through the above steps, force close the Mail app: How to force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support , then restart your iPhone and check for the Search bar again: Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support .
