Turn OFF wifi in Control Center

Hey Apple

When are you going to make a button to actually turn off WIFI in the Control Center instead of this totally redundant disconnect button which is pointless and my phone constantly asking if I can't to connect to random wifi connections. Its clear you only want to track our movements by making it hard to turn off wifi.

Please add another button to the Control Center to TURN OFF WIFI and save our phone battery.

Please bring the button back to turn off wifi in Control Center.

Thank you

iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 6.1.3

I have many Apple devices and it's not pointless.

The functionality has change, to completely turn Wi-Fi OFF use

Settings > Wi-Fi > turn off here.

...you do understand that, by and large, this is a user-to-user support forum, and posting your childish demands and feature requests in this forum do nothing but allow you to appear petulant?

Apple isn’t here—and if they do come here, I guarantee they aren’t going to pay any attention to your temper tantrum.

If you’re dissatisfied with the changes Apple made, you have the option to stop using their products. Or, you could act like an adult and constructively leave your feedback here: Apple.com/feedback

Hey Levanterman,

When are you going to accept Apple made a useful change for millions of users and simply get over the fact you can no longer permanently turn off Wifi in Control Center? We're just users here, so it doesn't matter to us if you don't like it. You just have to get used to how you can turn Wifi off, which is pretty simple actually. It does beg the question however, why you think you EVER need to turn Wifi off in the first place? And please don't say because it keeps connecting to other networks or it runs your battery down. It A, can't run your battery down and B, if you turn off Ask to Join Networks in settings it won't connect to networks you've previously joined either.

haha i know how to turn off wifi the old fashioned way before the Control Centre was introduced into iOS, with the extra button presses which are not convenient slow compared the the Control Centre.

I am excited to hear you have many apple devices which isn't really a relevant reply ;-) I know the functionality has changed , which is exactly why i am writing to message.
The control centre is pointless to turn OFF wifi, I have never had a need to disconnect from any wifi device, its a backwards step from Apple , it wouldn't be hard to have two buttons, one to disconnect and one to turn off thats all i'm asking apple.

Again, I never ever need to turn my Wi-Fi off since my iPhone 3G.

Since then I have 4s, 5, 5s, 6, 6s, 6s Plus, 7 & 8 Plus and iPad 3rd gen, iPad Air 2 and iPad Pro 12.9 2nd gen and

MacBook Pro and iMac.

By the way, these are why it's important to me if I do switch Wi-Fi Off.

  • AirDrop
  • AirPlay
  • Apple Pencil
  • Apple Watch
  • Continuity features, like Handoff and Instant Hotspot
  • Instant Hotspot
  • Location Services

So if you have a stand alone device then do "the old fashioned way"
