Why can't I log into FoxNews Live with Apple TV on COX Cable

Apple seems to not test Fox news but you can do this I only watch Fox news now over Apple products.

1. Call your cable provider (Cox, Time Warner, Spectrum etc) Verify you have login and write down your credentials password etc. If you don't have one create it!

2. Reset your Apple TV device to factory by doing a hard reset

3. Update your Apple TV to current OS, Plut in Wifi passwords etc and login with iTunes store Apple Id and Password

4. Find out when your Cable company mergers or what name the old cable company is using to select from list

5. Login to your Apple ID first and make sure you are connected to internet

6. Download Fox News app at app store on Apple TV

7. Create new account with Fox News live app for verification process

8. Write down Code sent to TV and your email used to set up account at fox news app

9. When prompted to verify type in your CODE Fox app created

10. Now click on Apple TV Fox News app, select show to watch and presto it should work.

Plan B

Go to current iPhone or iPad you own

Launch Safari an go to fox news live

Upper RH corner a BLUE button "Login"

Click on it, IT will show your cox provider etc and click on it

Log in and get live streaming fox News live playing on your iPhone, or iPad etc. now slide you thumb up from bottom of iPhone, or iPad, up fast. (Launches mini control panel with flash light airplay controls etc)

A sub window will appear with icons, choose the RH upper one with antenna lines

Select your apple tv where you are (Presuming you have already turned on wifi and bluetooth) press play on live stream

And now you are streaming from any apple product to your apple tv screen!

There is a way just be frustrated and patient and you will get what you want.

Apple blocks nothing, thats what makes apple cool.

For Apple Airplay to work you need this on IOS devices

1. Wifi on

2. Bluetooth on

This has nothing to do with the setup, the OP has done it just fine and has it working for other content. This is a specific issue that is being encountered with this app and something the developer would need to look into.

Not a matter of blame, rather stating a fact, and would be the case on any platform.

It is not Apple's responsibility to do so. Apple TV runs a different platform and if that app has an issue then users to need to make the developer aware.

If an app on IOS or any other platform did have an issue the same would apply

If your provider is not on the list there isn’t much you can do other than contact them to inquire

Then it is an issue with the activation process that the developer needs to look into

Its not a developer issue, Its a not being properly informed.

Apple makes awesome products! We all need to give solutions not blame. Enough of that going around already.

Educate, explain and enjoy your products.

My Family watches Fox News live all day on all my large screens and Apple products and only use fast internet connection it works great AND NO COMMERCIALS!!!.

No issues with "Developers" its a issue with properly setting it up. (Which few really know how to do)

Its so easy into days world to blame others because of their own ignorance and lack of knowledge.

Don't give up! Hang up! Find someone with patients and knowledge who actually uses the product and knows first hand how to use it. Your problem was my problem until a kind young man at Apple at the Beta test site i use taught me how to watch it. I lack the professional how to but rest assured you can watch Fox News on Apple Devises.

Apple should put a FAQ up on how to set up Live Fox News on Apple TV. Then all could enjoy it who want to watch it.

Same issue with authentication process of Cox...emailed Fox and no fix yet..seriously
