opening/importing .cst channel strip settings

opening/importing .cst channel strip settings

Hi folks - a friend sent me a .cst channel strip setting which I wish to use, but I can't

see it in Logic. I tried putting it in HD>music>AudioMusicApps>ChannelStripSettings>

Track, that didn't work.. also tried putting it at HD>users>library>appsupport>Logic>

ChannelStripSettings - couldn't see it. The only cst's I can see are filed under 'Legacy'

under the settings menu on the channel strip (which doesn't include the setting I am trying

to access)

Any advice welcome. Thanks!

The correct location for Logic Pro X is:

~/Music/Audio Music Apps/Channel Strip Settings/[CHANNEL STRIP]/

~ corresponds to your user (home) folder.

[CHANNEL STRIP] is the correct object for the setting. i.e Instrument for software instrument track, to Track for audio track.

No, sorry if I wasn't clear.

What I meant was this:

If the .cst that was handed to you is a channel strip setting for a software instrument track, place it in the Instrument folder.
If the .cst file is a setting for an audio track, place it in the Track folder.

Thanks for the reply -

So the only folders under AudioMusicApps/ChannelStripSettings are 'Instrument' and 'Track'

Should I create a folder named 'Channel Strip' in that location and put the .cst file there?
