Quicktime player freezing on High Sierra

After upgrading to High Sierra (10.13.3) my version of QuickTime Player freezes when I attempt to play a video (10.4 (928.5.1).

I'm running a Macbook Pro 13" 2017.

Any ideas?

Unfortunately no simple fix. Just installed an alternative player and defaulted video file types to use it rather than QT.

Same here. MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015) and also on 10.13.3 High Sierra. I don't have a workaround.

I’m having my work tech support look at it Monday. If they fix it I’ll post the solution here.
