Problem creating disc image in iDVD

I'm using my iMAC running High Sierra 10.13.3 and iDVD 7.1.2 and I'm having trouble getting a disc image to complete. It shows that it rendered 415 photos and 414 transitions and then freezes and goes unresponsive. Any suggestions?

Don't use a theme with a drop zone. They have become more unstable with each system update. Use an older non-animated theme.

To get a disk to start immediately when inserted into a player bring up the Map view

and drag the slideshow into the bin on the far left of the Map view window:

That will create a video DVD that will start immediately when inserted into a DVD player.

Nothing unusual there. Could the stall point be where you're changing from one audio track to another? Did you try removing that one slide and see if it will get by that?

Also try the following:

1 - duplicate the project.

2 - open duplicate and delete the last 210 slides and half the music and see if you can create a disk image.

3 - duplicate the original project again, delete the first 215 slides and associated music and test again.

Made some changes in the program by making sure the project was on boot disc and tried to create a disc image again. It processed 415 photos, 414 transitions and made it through 26 renderings before freezing. Better than before.

More info: I have photos and audio in first drop zone, the title zone because the recipient needs a DVD that starts when inserted in the DV Player. More suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks, Jim
