Trying to get a free app from App Store . I hit get and it brings me to a choice of cancel or buy. I don't want to buy it I want to check it out free

Ok I fixed it
I called apple they saw what the problem was.
They changed the way free apps show. The old way was it showed free, but now it shows get/ buy.
If there was a charge for the app it would show the amount after you hit buy. Also my credit info needed to be updated with the Cvv code.

Even though it may be free to download you are still effectively buying it, it gets added to the account's purchase history, it's just that the purchase price is zero.

It's been like that for quite a while, but as I said in my first reply you are buying it for zero.
And it's not a good idea to post images that contain your email address (unless you like spam emails), these are user public forums - I've asked the hosts to remove it

Both Walmart and Alibaba say "Get" for me (U.S. Store). There would be no charge for either of them.
Yes it says get.
Then you hit get, then hit install, and it house to cancel or buy.

Glad you got it sorted out.
I don't use my password to buy apps. I use TouchID and it shows up very differently. So, useful information.
