Im using shareit app, how to view .heic pictures i got from my friend?

Good day everyone. So I have just recently got an ip8 plus. I was a previous andriod phone user and has pictures on that old phone, these pictures are .heic files which were from my friends iphone 7 plus and iphone x. When i got this phone i decided to transfer the files from the android to here via Shareit app since i can't open them there. When the pictures were transferred, they are not showing in my photos library. I can only find them inside the shareit app under "my files". How can i put them in my photos lib? Btw i don't want to use icloud drive or any cloud drive. What is my best option? Does the pictures normal dont show up even if they were original taken from an iphone and are .heic?
