I have an iPhone 8 (IOS 11.2.5) and am starting to work on a project that requires me to note my GPS coordinates. In a training class recently, everyone who had an iPhone just opened their compass app and the latitude and longitude automatically showed. When I opened my app, all that was showing was a reading with degrees (84°) with no latitude and longitude. Going into settings didn’t offer any solution. Why won’t my iPhone give me that info?

Best Regards.See your location. To see your current location, go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services, then turn on Location Services and Compass.
Actually I kept looking for this to post to see if anyone had any solutions, and when I could never find it posted, and saw others dated after I had submitted my question, I finally just called Apple Support. BTW, I had location services turned on, so I knew that that wasn't the problem. But their tech person worked with me for over an hour, we did a reset and several other things, and it's finally working, but in a funny way. When I open the app now it still does the same thing. But if I click to get back to the home screen, with the app still open, then click on it and bring it up for a second time, then the GPS shows after opening it the second time. It's an extra step, but at least I can now get the info that I need from it.
