Question

how do i map Command R on windows keyboard while using an iMac Yoseite?

I need to restart iMac Yosemite with Command+R to use disk utility but I have a windows keyboard.

iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

The Command key is the Windows key. Immediately left of the Spacebar, usually.

Kappy is spot on.

To check and see which key is currently the Command key, open you Keyboard Viewer and try the Windows and Alt keys to see which one activates the Command on the Keyboard Viewer.
